Beneath The Cold (feat. FEMME), Toyboy & Robin.

Fellow aficionados of the ampersand, Toyboy & Robin have consistently impressed in recent times, the blistering Hi-NRG shuffling of Better Places¬†also suggesting that the London duo are now not only ready, but so too willing to complement their keen ears for profoundly compelling drops and whatnot with vocals. And so the FEMME-featuring Beneath The Cold again proves, the British songstress beginning: “As the nights grow dark, and the days grow short/ I don’t feel like waking up at all.” But as the nights grow lighter, and the days longer, it certainly sounds as though more and more ought to be waking up to Toyboy & Robin, whose¬†Better Places EP, from which this one is once again lifted, is out now on MTA Records. Because if nothing else, the reminiscences of The Bucketheads’ The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall into My Mind) that Beneath The Cold prompts should alone do enough to “put a little sunshine” in your day…
