First Transmission: Bluey, No Plans.

Given the low-fidelity genesis of Bluey’s No Plans, you’d be excused for thinking the Keith Jarrett-redolent flourish which kicks in some 78 seconds in belonged to another song. That it never returns serves only to solidify this line of thought yet it somehow fits, sort of resetting things midway through. Otherwise, becomingly layered vocals intermesh with dewy synth lines and inconspicuous guitars to fashion a track that sounds not dissimilar to something that might’ve worked its way onto The Radio Dept.’s Lesser Matters, had the Swedes not gotten caught by quite so much fuzz.
