While the rest of their recent Echoes EP impresses, meshing Emancipator or Pilote-type ambience together with the learned dexterities of a Sam Shepherd or a Will Holland, Trust – by Amsterdam duo Broj – really is several cuts above. Incontrovertibly vernal, and blooming beautiful to boot, it unfurls like the most breathtaking springtime, as deferential guitars come and go with spectral reverence. It’s exemplary, masterfully orchestrated stuff that, as was with Sébastien Tellier’s La Ritournelle, admittedly leaves you wondering how and/ or when – if ever – they will better this sublime, but understated tour de force. Trust us when we say you won’t regret giving this one a go…
