First Transmission: Common Body, Luck of the Draw.

Fan of JUCE? (As was I, as the London-based then-three-piece salvaged SXSW 2015 from the pits of supreme despair in downtown Austin, TX.) Well, you’re in luck if so, as two thirds of said outfit today return as Common Body, Cherish Kaya and Georgia Lee picking right back up none too far from where they left off. For Luck of the Draw plays upon a similarly pristine sound to, say, Call You Out: the bass is protuberant, the vocal harmonies a doting, devoted ’90s homage, and the production (courtesy of Andrew Hale) spacious enough to allow the song’s every resplendent component to totally effortlessly cut through the mix. Throw in a reverb-heavy horn section, however, and you’ve a very evident thirst for creative development right there; one we’d advise you keep a keen eye thereon every step of the way…

Luck of the Draw is available from this Friday, 22nd September via Kaya Kaya Records.
