Looking Up, Arthur Beatrice.

Looking Up, Arthur Beatrice.

Peerless London avant-pop troupe Arthur Beatrice next week release their long-awaited début full-length, Working Out, the record beginning with the altogether majestic Councillor. And it’s this understatedly grandiose intro of sorts that today emerges, sublime palm-muted guitars combining quite gloriously with Orlando Leopard’s chiselled baritone, as he and Ella Girardot gently condescendingly implore some unnamed shrink “help this boy, think down on all his faults.” Although things are this week well and truly looking up for Leopard, Girardot and brothers Elliot and Hamish Barnes, and long may they continue to do so. For Councillor & Co. now sound set to work up an hysteria all of their own…

Working Out is released February 24th via Open Assembly Recordings / Polydor.
