First Transmission: Dresage, Renaissance.

Dresage – née Keeley Bumford – may not have the ol’ spelling lark nailed on, judging by the aforementioned moniker, but she’s certainly making a name for herself with such instantly startling numbers as Renaissance. A nuanced, trip-hoppy pièce de résistance that’s equal parts Jarboe, Marian Hill and Portishead, with its superlative production directly redolent of the lattermost, Bumford’s vocal sits ever so prettily atop the fuggy, befuddling atmosphere what lies beneath.
