He may have been about for a fair bit, but never before has Forced Random – né Oliver Girdler – struck with such potent cogency as is on Get On. For although the lyrics may be indecipherable for the most part, Girdler’s vocal is so explicitly suggestive of that of Jason Pierce, that it remains absolutely central all the same. And buoyed not by uncontrolledly ecclesiastical backing, but rather by highly dynamic lo-fi that’s as, if not more euphoric than J. Spaceman’s more contemporary, telluric escapades, it’s best you get on board with Forced Random posthaste…
