Ostensibly ‘recorded in bed’ – albeit on unspecified equipment – its fidelity may be lower than Lisa/Liza’s unbelievably blear recordings, but this brings with it that same warm, fuzzy sense of intimacy as was intrinsic to Julien Baker’s Sprained Ankle. And that, as far as I’m concerned, is more or less as high a compliment as is payable at this particular moment in time…
