Having been previously beguiled by Trying – a track that has, alas, since disintegrated from SoundCloud – Bournemouth’s Honeymoons are back with the hazy, yearning Daze; a rose-tinted doozy that’s as supremely inviting as the inebriated stumble over the post-hitch threshold. Again, I guess it’s fair to say that comparisons with Real Estate et al. really are fair enough, but it’s strangely comforting to find that our South Coast is as capable of producing so breezy a brand of dream-pop as the Eastern Seaboard. Indeed, I’d go so far (overboard, maybe) as to say that Honeymoons have gone right ahead and trumped many a contemporary already with this one…
