Jon Hopkins, Everything Connected.

Perhaps Britain’s foremost proponent of propulsive electronica, Jon Hopkins’ Everything Connected is another thewy workout that, breathless as any anaerobic exertion and breathtaking in its execution, sets pulses racing once again. It’s the second to come from Hopkins’ forthcoming fifth solo full-length Singularity, and ventures into darker corners than Emerald Rush did before it: akin to We Disappear and Open Eye Signal colliding in cinematic, rubberneck explosivity, it proves another thoroughly vital, inviting listen from a record which, on the basis of a scant two edits alone, already promises so very much.

Singularity is available from May 4th via Domino Record Co., while Jon Hopkins plays Village Underground the following Thursday, 10th, and the O2 Academy Brixton on November 2nd and 3rd.
