I’d be fibbing were I to feign a profound knowledge of the Philippine music scene, though this one from inscrutable young ‘beatsmith’ CONCLΔVE ought to have us all delving that bit deeper. The boy provides languid, spacked-out pulses and crunky cadences whilst the girl (accomplice Berna So) brings a woozy, nonphysical ethereality to proceedings with a wondrously disinterested vocal quality. They are, like its title Melted, of a gooey inconsistency that, mirage-like, drift in and out of focus ingeniously as though caught in a viscous web of time. Then, just shy of four, they’re gone altogether.
