Few singles prove as immersive, nor indeed as immediately seductive as Nightswim from Melbourne nestling Brooke Addamo – aka Owl Eyes. To set the scene, Addamo sings of lolling about in pools shimmering as the song itself before calling out siren-like: “Nightswim, I’m waitin’ for you/ Jump in, it’s colder when you’re out there.” We couldn’t advocate total submergence wholly enough, for this may well be the one to see her fly the coop – the consummate pop song very few contemporary songbirds have in ‘em.
