A faintly humorous JPG and some block white Impact text, traditionally speaking. Obviously that Minneapolis pairing Meme neglected to dredge up some as yet unblemished image of Keanu, or Kanye, or whoever have ye for the artwork to début full-length Young suggests Lizzie Brown and Danny Burke may have missed a trick. Though even a cursory airing of album standout Fallen quite clearly illustrates they’re bang on the buzzers: a wompy synth-pop thriller that nods to Annie Lennox, Cold Cave, and treasureseason all with even tilt, Brown spectrally sighs: “Just take my hand/ And fall with me” over now seemingly imitably Scandi backing. And from here on in we’re with her, cascading head over shoulders; knees; heels.
