Well, as the serendipity I can now only assume their native Pennsylvania simply must be renowned for would have it, Radiator Hospital have just announced a third full-length release – entitled Play the Songs You Like – which is slated for release next month; and from it, Pastoral Radio Hit is a slab of brazen, red-breasted pop-punk with a softened underbelly, perhaps due to the fact that Cook-Parrott’s typically plaintive vocal here proves slightly reminiscent of a certain Jeff Mangum. And, as he sings of “feeling fairly, fairly nice,” Pastoral Radio Hit will likely do likewise with your insides this morning. A song we like, and really like quite a lot, in truth…
