Sleater-Kinney, Hurry On Home.

Four years on from No Cities to Love (contentious take: one of, if not their absolute best album), Sleater-Kinney come back with a banging new one in the form of Hurry On Home. Musically reminiscent of Interpol’s Lights, suspended in hints of St. Vincent (who produced the Portland trio’s forthcoming The Center Won’t Hold full-length, from which this is lifted), it’s a mere thirty seconds before Carrie Brownstein so iconically proclaims herself “dress down-able/ Uptown-able/ Hair grab-able/ Grand-slammable.” And, an ace smash throughout, best get yourself “used to loving [them]” all over again…
