First Transmission: Space Mountain, White Light.

For many years, Disneyland Paris’ Space Mountain represented the acme of personal insurmountability: first time around, height prohibited; subsequently, as kidulthood disintegrated, unadulterated terror played its part. But, not to be confused with the nominally analogous rollercoaster, Space Mountain – aka Boston, Massachusetts’ Cole Kinsler – makes altogether more accommodating musics that will likely appeal to all sorts, irrespective of age, height, and such like. For the Bostonian’s slightly idle vocal recalls the universally venerated likes of J Mascis and Micah P. Hinson, while the warmth of White Light – with its warbling organs and churning, Grandaddy-ish guitar parts – proves welcomingly reminiscent of Alex G’s more bright and breezy renditions. Supermundane is available from August 4th via Forged Artifacts.
