Surf Rock is Dead, White Salsa.

As a comestible, sour cream-riddled white salsa is fairly revolting stuff; as four minutes of sweet, sweet, psych-addled shoegaze, mind – mined from Brooklyn-based duo Surf Rock is Dead’s upcoming EP, We Have No Friends? – it’s altogether more palatable stuff. Again, as was with Everything They Said, a debt of gratitude is due Zachary Cole Smith & Co., although there is very evidently enough reinvention (if not quite necessarily innovation) on show to suggest it’s seemingly worth sticking with Kevin Pariso and Joel Witenberg for some while still – sour cream, or no sour cream…

We Have No Friends? is available from October 6th via The Native Sound.
