The Radio Dept., Your True Name.

Having first made a name for themselves with their deeply meaningful 2003 début, Lesser Matters, there’s something immensely satisfying to Swedish duo The Radio Dept. kicking off Your True Name (below) with riffs evocative of The Sea and Cake circa that exact same era. It’s the gratifying feeling of things coming full circle, as its cyclical sounds recall Four Corners before Johan Duncanson’s vocal – bobbled like a beloved jumper – begins to drift in and out of the picture with whimsical guile.
