When shapeshifting Danish outfit When Saints Go Machine first broke through with Konkylie, the better part of a decade ago, they felt so far ahead of their time. And this isn’t to suggest time has caught up with them, but Reflection of You (Bloodshot) – a first to surface from their forthcoming So Deep full-length; their first in six years – certainly sits better amidst its 2019 contemporaries. Exemplarily produced, as per, a rigid, clubby backbone is flexed by pliable top lines and glassy strings, Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild’s supernormal vocal less the spotlit Arthur Russell salute it once was, and more a perfectly complementary element. Bloody excellent.

So Deep is available from November 8^th via Escho, while When Saints Go Machine play The Pickle Factory on November 13^th.
