You Don’t Know Me, perhaps aptly, sounds only slightly like that which we’ve become accustomed to from the perennially enrobed Dallas cult as it’s only slightly redolent of The Fragile Army, otherwise sounding more readily evocative of R.E.M., or Paul Banks’ independent endeavours. Though as Delaughter sneers: “Watch ’em falling all around” we’re reminded of the band’s longevity and of their abiding ability to endure. And for that, they ought to be fully appreciated – all twenty-two of ’em.
