I’ll Be Your Mirror 2013.

I’ll Be Your Mirror 2013.

It’d been nigh on twelve long months since I’d last found myself clambering up the vertiginous inclines of Alexandra Park toward Ally Pally – a timescale no sooner contemplated than it’d been calculated, for each extreme was bookended by something utterly scintillating. Each was an I’ll Be Your Mirror. This time taking place toward the beginning of an altogether merrier May, Karen O and her resurgent Yeah Yeah Yeahs plastered Saturday in a fluoro hue of glee, cherry-picking the likes of Dirty BeachesThe FieldAnika from a group filed along a figurative schoolyard wall to fill up another resplendent, and so too thoroughly reflective afternoon. A quite disparate weekend when set against that of yesteryear, though both proffered unique perspectives on very present, and so too highly palatable bands as we began one of few sunnier months sure to again be spent cooped up indoors…
