Geowulf, Hideaway.

Having previously beguiled with the veritably inviting Saltwater, London-based duo Geowulf’s latest – entitled Hideaway – is doubtless their most immediately alluring since: plashing in plush, comparably aqueous tones (in complete keeping once more with the pair’s consistent poolside aesthetic, of course), the track recalls such criminally underrated contemporaries as Boardwalk, Elephant, Tennis, et cetera as trebly retro tones buoy Star Kendrick’s ebullient delivery. And Geowulf have, if at a temporally inappropriate moment, delivered another thoroughly immersive, very aestival listen here.

Hideaway is lifted from their forthcoming début album, Great Big Blue, which is available from February 16th via 37 Adventures, while Geowulf play The Lexington on February 28th.
