Driven by pulsating synths reminiscent of those used to soundtrack a certain Nicolas Winding Refn flick, Bat For Lashes’ Kids in the Dark makes for a markedly remarkable comeback for Natasha Khan. Of course, her voice – seraphic and filled with innocence – remains the incontestable centrepiece, but in harking back to the sounds of the exemplary Two Suns, her future has brightened right up within the space of 208 seconds.
