Whereas Illusion of Time – from Daniel Avery & Alessandro Cortini’s forthcoming collaborative full-length of the same name – began with susurrating ambient surges, before building into something more muscular, Enter Exit makes a rather more brazen entrance. Metallic drones evocative of downtempo techno thus usher this one in, although those same Fuck Buttons-esque atmospherics kick back into gear pretty quickly as the pair once again landscape a widescreen, superbly immersive few moments devoid of ready categorisation, yet brimming with innovation and vision likewise.
