“Nothin’ nice to talk about” Sam Cook-Parrott sings as Radiator Hospital’s latest – entitled Nothing Nice – kicks off, although there is seemingly no end to the compliments made payable to the Philadelphia-based pop-punk doyen. For following on from the typically impassioned (if perhaps atypically anthemic) Pastoral Radio Hit, not only does his knack for a campus radio-compatible hook show no sign of bleeding dry any time soon, but in the build-up to the release of the band’s forthcoming Play the Songs You Like full-length, it’s almost in danger of becoming more enviable than it is admirable.
